WIM RUNNINg retreat

Located right off of Newburyport, MA we will be spending 3 nights on one of New England’s oceanfront treasures, Plum Island. Participants will be staying in a beach house that is right on the beach, so you can enjoy your morning coffee with toes dipped in the sand, or up on the deck with a bird’s eye view of the water. Each day will begin with a group run along the ocean, a mid morning and afternoon workshop, and evening activity. Though there will be ample group activities throughout this retreat, we have sprinkled in free time for participants where people can choose from a variety of relaxation and exploration activities to do on their own or with others. This experience is designed for adult runners, looking to build connections through sharing nourishing miles and meals and creative and playful activities. Upon leaving this retreat we hope that each participant will have added new learnings to their movement toolbox, and feeling energized and connected to a network of individuals who love to run.

who is this for?

This is a retreat for individuals 18 years and up, who are eager to spend four days connecting with participants who share a passion for running through movement, food and activities.

what to expect

Spend 3 nights/4 days on the beautiful coast Plum Island, MA where you will get to soak in beautiful sunsets over the ocean from your porch, and be steps away from the beach.

  • Everyday you will have meals, tailored to dietary needs prepared by Chef Danielle Desiato Kuhn, including a cooking lesson for all participants!

  • To kick off the retreat we will have a cocktail/mocktail reception on the beach (weather permitting). 

  • We will begin each day with a guided group run along the ocean and Parker River Wildlife Refuge led by Coach Amanda Nurse.

  • Daily yoga and meditation practice led by Julia Howard. 

  • A special strength and conditioning session geared towards runners. 

  • Daily access to NormaTecs and foam rollers provided by retreat.

  • Kat O’Leary, LMT from Wellness in Motion Boston will be providing massages.

  • Cara Schrager, RD, MPH will be providing 1:1 Nutrition Consultations.

  • 1:1 coaching consultation with Coach Amanda to discuss running goals and questions pertaining to your personal goals as an athlete.   

  • Special programming to facilitate connection and creativity.
