Kristin Lash is a 2009 Cortiva Institute graduate and holds advanced certifications in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year, Hospice Massage and Reiki II. A lifelong runner and athlete, Kristin recently deepened her 12-year practice of yoga through completion of Boston Yoga School’s 200hr teacher training with Ame Wren, Ben Chused and Monica Trobagis. With a foundation in Iyengar and Ashtanga, her practice follows an interest in alignment, the subtle body and how yoga - much like bodywork - can enhance an athlete’s training as well as enjoyment of sport. Kristin is also a birth doula and has studied Yoga Therapy for Depression and Anxiety with Kate Graham and Oncology Massage with Tracy Walton.

Kristin specializes in deep, therapeutic massage, treating a wide range of clients including new and expecting mothers, marathoners, cyclists, weekend warriors as well as those working through chronic pain, repetitive strain injuries, autoimmune conditions, and trauma. Her own personal passion and experiences (and, injuries!) with running, outdoor sports and yoga greatly informs her work.

Kristin strives to create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for clients where relaxation is encouraged in order to foster release. Living in coastal areas, her work is inspired by the fluid yet steady presence of water. She believes strongly in listening to the body and through intentional, mindful touch guiding clients to cultivate and expand their own sense and awareness of their bodies, its subtle cues and patterns. Her technique - much like a tide - combines slow yet rhythmic strokes, stretches, positional releases and holds that allow her to sink into the connective tissues, create length and space and also work through adhesions and tension at the deepest muscle layers.

Outside of work, Kristin spends as much time as she can in nature, running or exploring regional trails and marshes with her adopted dog, Maude. She also enjoys reading and writing, cooking, slurping oysters and hugging other neighborhood dogs (and their owners).

Gerard Samson is a dedicated part-time yoga teacher and experienced massage therapist. He taught full time for five years at Coolidge Yoga before deciding to put his full effort into massage therapy and treating sports injuries. Gerard developed his massage practice at Coolidge Corner Yoga and out of his home in Boston. He graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2011 with a B.A in both in Psychology and Philosophy, where he rowed as a student athlete.

Gerard found the practice of yoga after graduating college and it happened to be beneficial for reducing his work stress and the tightness his body had developed from rowing. Wanting to share yoga’s benefits Gerard enrolled in a 200-hour teacher-training program with Ame Wren and the Boston Yoga School in 2014. Through yoga he began to see the body as a puzzle to unravel, which led to a strong interest in bodywork. This led to his enrollment at The Massage School in Boston in 2015. With the influence of yoga in his bodywork, he works deep into the structure of the body, both to adjust structure and treat injuries that restrict mobility. In school Gerard became skilled in a number of techniques like deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and some elements of eastern bodywork (Shiatsu, Thai massage) and blends all of them into his work. Gerard graduated from The Massage School in February of 2017 with over 200 hours of clinical practice, and has been working as an LMT since graduation.

Eric Hon has been an avid athlete for many years. His training in the human body started at an art academy in Poland and expanded while studying at the Cortiva institute in Watertown. He specializes in personal history analysis and day to day activity to isolate the root cause of the individual’s pain issues.

As a former desk jockey, student and runner, he takes time to educate each client to give them the tools to help improve the daily management of muscle related problems that can occur repeatedly. By tailoring each treatment using a wide variety of modalities including hot and cold stone therapies, Eric endeavors to maximize the relief and assist clients in greater internal awareness.

Eric is a member of the ABMP, received his certification from the Cortiva Institute in 2011. His studies include BA in management from Boston College as well as an MFA in Interior Architecture from the Wroclaw Art Academy in Poland. He has worked with athletes, cyclists, marathon runners, car accident victims, lyme disease and cancer patients as well as a wide variety of clients/patients with career-oriented injuries undergoing physical therapy.

Eric strongly believes in using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, myofascial release techniques as well as sports stretching to address more common ailments that come with everyday life and practice what he preaches. It is always a great feeling seeing clients improve both physically and their self awareness. He has been working with clients in the Boston area for 8 years and is an avid painter, cyclist, chef and weightlifter.

Paige Mitterhoff began her work as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) after graduating from Body in Mind Massage Institute and Elizabeth Grady of Esthetics and Massage Therapy. In Paige's three short years, she has worked with collegiate, professional, and Olympian level athletes.

As an avid runner, Paige has great understanding of why sports therapy such as massage can benefit athletes of any level and keep them progressing toward their goals.  Instead of pushing through the pain, Paige believes that through deep tissue and sport massage finding the root of an injury can ensure that the problem does not come crawling back. Her in depth knowledge of therapeutic massage leads her to relieve muscle tension and acute injuries.

Paige holds a membership with the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and currently receiving her certification in IASTM ‘Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization.’  Through certifications and memberships like these, Paige believes learning more allows her to give her clients the best up to date treatment!

She currently serves as the team massage therapist for Northeastern University's Men Ice Hockey and Men’s Rowing and the Harvard University's Men’s and Women's Squash. She has served as a massage therapist for the Boston Marathon 2014 & 2015.

Amanda initially went to college for CSI but she kept being pulled towards massage. Being active in sports and dance she has had her fair share of injuries and pain. Massage has always been the means of healing for her. This firsthand experience, has helped her learn and grow in throughout her career as a massage therapist.

Understanding how pain can affect someone’s life and how to help relieve it is why she loves her job. Amanda's goal is to help find the source of one's pain and do everything she can to help get rid of it. Amanda strongly believes that maintenance and routine is the key to avoiding future injuries and pain. Always ready to learn and grow as a practitioner, Amanda strives to be the best healer she can be for her clients.
